Meh I took acid too and I freaked out woop dee do!
Um so yeah I got so bored of drugs, like seriously my mates who still drop I just really like to them to grow the f#ck up.
It's like masturbation, it's great for a while but in the end becomes boring compared to the reality of really sex.
Funny how since I quit druqks I found psy trance less n' less interesting

Hm. It's a thread called "Acid Drenched Adventures" in a psytrance forum where people are detailing some of the best times of their life or most extreme things etc etc
Your post denigrates/trivializes a substance that a large portion of the userbase hold in high regard, then come pretty close to insinuating that anyone who still takes drugs after x period of time that you determine needs to 'grow up.'
Then liken it to masturbation, then you diss psytrance again.
Simply calling you out on your trolling.

Ok guys no need for bickering.
I'm for one wont tell anybody what to do with their lives. However i also stop doin' drugs after a feeling of "needing to grow up". Also stop listening to Psy but for a lack of something new or innovative.I still listen to some though in my car.
Too much of a good thing often can be bad.

"meh I took acid and freaked out woop dee doo" is not a thinking opinion. It's a view, but a very narrow one. Acid has had a profound effect on our culture, our science, our art...to say that all of that is just 'freaking out' and only something that 'non grownups' do is infantile and ridiculous.
So, you don't do drugs anymore. That's cool - many people report that after a certain point they don't need the drugs to open their minds because the doors they opened are still open. Or they don't like it for any number of other reasons, like it's too much of an destabilizing factor on their lives, they want to raise children etc. I respect that.
You should respect other people's rights to do what they want too. Like post great stories about the best times of their lives without someone coming in and saying they're all just childish morons who need to grow up and stop masturbating.

One gets out of one's trip what one puts into it, in my experience.
LSD and other entheogenic/psychedelics such as magic mushrooms have helped show me that reality is far more interesting and amazing, and fantastical than I was taught at school*, and that I am more of a unique amazing person than I ever believed myself to be. It also showed me that this was true of other people also.
Particularly I find that taking LSD and magic mushrooms encourages and exhalts me to be the best one can. In whichever fashion one imagines, wills, thinks and dreams.
Psychedelics have shown me things that "according to scientific material reductionism couldn't exist, or were so unlikely/improbable as to be discounted", such as miraculous occurences, like objects dribbling/rippling out of nowhere into existance.

I believe, like Bill Hicks said, that drugs have done good things for us. Except for my everyday weed-smoking, I use psychedelics too every now and then.
But, have you ever observed that most of the times all the stuff that is said about the knowledge that psychedelics have provided to us is a little bit general?
I mean that there are many of us that say that drugs have taught us many things and that sometimes it's like the revelation of a big universal truth that we cannot comprehend and understand. But little is said in particular, the majority of the statements is very general.
Maybe the fact that psychedelics make us question even their contribution and their value to us is part of their value and importance to us.
Anyway, just some thoughts of mine. Maybe I'm wrong.
