Accidentally Found CD's

Well i was in New York 2 years ago and i badly needed some music since i had forgoten my cd case at my home at Greece,so i say to my young brother to go and buy some music,any kind of music from hip hop to rock.
So he returns back with 2 cd's and tells me that the record store had these 2 psy-trance cd left and he just bought them.
These 2 where Element-Transform and the double compilation Space Mantra.They are both amazing stuff and some of my all time favorites.
So have you ever come across totally accidentally to some really amazing albums or compilations?
Would like to hear your story

well , i was with a friend of mine going to a gig , he came from another town , and we should have gigs (I cannot say i am a dj , but i use to play sometime) so , he get me from home and we went to the club , but i remember i need to play a track of El.Universe that i have not in my cds so we go to the cd shop but i was closed , and on the door there was a sheet of paper with the opening time and the name of the owner and his phone # , so i called him to came and open the shop to sell me a cd with the electric universe track on it , and hi did. ... later when i went @ home i look at the cd - it was - the best ot psy trance vol. 1 - it helped me @ the moment so i LOVE it !
... no way out in the blue ... follow the guy upstairs ! |

my first trance cd story - i came to shop to buy some music, found something i wanted and saw sale of cd's. i took one without knowing what is it and it was first electric universe album "one love". since i listen to trance all the time...

we have a second-hand vinyl and cd shop where i live and sometimes i browse through their stuff. normally im looking for old commercial trance and house records but last time i went there i've found some really old goa records (most were in the progressive house section btw!!). vinyls from 95/96 from transwave, prana, seb unity nettwerk and stuff. i nearly had a hearattack when i saw them and they where so damn cheap i just had to buy them!! lucky me!

I've made some nice discoveries in second hand stores too.... I found X-Dream "Radio" on cd for only 5 euros... I've also found rare Etnica, Nephilim-stuff, Infinity Project, Koxbox...
On really romantic evenings of self, I go salsa dancing with my confusion... |

In 96' i was stupid enough to trade Concept In Dance 2 compilation, that i won by calling to radio show, with "Everything is wrong" by Moby.
I never understood this compilation back then.
And now it's a classic cd.
Though i very enjoyed Moby's album (and still am)

In late 1996 I bought without knowing one of my favorite cd's "A Voyage Into Trance" mixed by Danny Rampling. It starts off with Hallucinogen's classic - LSD and mixes with Flouro Nero into MWNN and Zodiac Youth and Much more beautiful Doof and other Magical music. I'm so happy the guy at Super Zeus knew to give me this CD. Plus, it was on sale cause not too many people listened to that music back then.

my brother in law bought
infected mushroom- the gathering because he liked the cover....took it home and listened to it constantly for 4 days
we were into trance but not psytrance until then

Thats a really cool way to discover music that becomes the music of your life... but it must be quite rare at least in sweden, at "the biggest record store in sweden" (I think) they dont have any psytrance at all. If you take a random CD there its 99% you get mainstream. But if was a store with varied music then I would try this out

Well I used to buy some crappy greek nitzonot cds with my cousin at Korinth, and one day he bought Space Mantra compilation and after I listen to it I discover trance! It's mine until now, I never return it to him... hehe
