I bought an Access Virus for my Powercore card a few weeks ago and i'm really happy with it. Before i had this thing i always struggled to create tight, punchy basses with enough body, now it's a LOT easier. I'm not sure, but i guess that most virus synths sound approximately similar, although i expect that the Virus C sounds better, or different because it has Moog filters.
If you are used to using plugins and don't worry too much about latency i would go for a package deal of the TC Powercore that includes the Virus for powercore. You get a virus plugin, but also a DSP card with some great reverbs, dynamics processors, an exellent amp simulator and eqs. Since the effects don't burden your CPU you can work faster and get better sounding results. It's definately one of those buys that i didn't regret for a second.
