If anyone here wants to buy a new access TI,my advice is to wait a few more days/weeks,i have bought mine in Xmas, and since then there were quite a few updates of the TIOS. the problem is that none has fixed the major bugs that the synth has on it!!Hanging notes;Virus control VSti not ready yet(lots of bugs and timing issues),Clicks and pops in the sound in some selected patches, and ultimately the DSP crash wich causes the worst harsh noise!!
There are forum users who reported burnt amplifiers and damaged speakers with this one

I just wanted to leave this here so ppl stop supporting access, and see if they solve the problem quickly !!!
I regret buying the synth so early,my C was rock solid !!!!

Cheers!!!

Squarepusher, you have to remember that the OS updates do work for some people. There's just so large a spectrum of different setups out there that it's difficult to iron out all the bugs quickly.

Hmm... a friend bought the TI, and we did the recommended updates etc... experienced none of those problems.

What system/software are you runnging it with? What driver update have you gotten to? Mac/PC?

We're in the USA, I wonder if maybe there were more problems on other international operating systems?

We did have one problem (that was due to our mistake, not an Access bug) and when we reported to customer service, they emailed a specific, detailed, helpful response within a few hours. Excellent tech support & customer service.

While they may or may not have the solution to whatever software problems you are having, they are listening to you... make sure you report your bugs/errors in as much detail as possible. The more detailed, helpful, specific info you give them, the sooner their engineers can release more updates.

As you know, the Virus TI is not just a synthesizer - it is a completely new approach to digital audio production. Having a ASIO USB audio interface built-in to the device adds a whole other level of complexity to the situation - did you unplug your old audio device?

Nuendo 3.2,RME Hammerfall 9652;K8NNeo2 Platinum Mobo;PC platform

I bought and updated the TIOS from 1.0(standard) to 1.0.3,that time there were others symptoms like drunken arpeggiator(non syncing),patches not syncing with Virus control interface...they ironed that with some updates but the worst is still here, for most users !!!
i know for having a Virus C,that access update policy has been gr8 in the last models, but since they promised to release fully stable OS in february OS1.1,and after 3 weeks still no OS,ppl are starting to suspect if they will be abble to deliver !!

Maybe some guys that use presets and few parts without the Virus Control dont feel this heat, but there are ppl steaming !!!

I have great hope that they fix it in 1.1!!

Hmmm... haven't seen any of those Arpeggiator sync problems or patch sync issues... but I used the TI on a system with SX3 and the other audio device unplugged, so that the TI was the only ASIO device present.

Have you tried unplugging your RME device and using just the TI as your audio interface?           http://soundcloud.com/aeon604

I tried everything even uninstall my midi interface, soundcard,ADAT Mixer card, everything !!
Anyway unplugging its not a relevant issue because DSP crashes even happens when using it without drivers installed (Midi Cables+Audio I/O)...

Ppl in sunesha forum are calling this...
The Satan Saw,its quite a screaching sound...

Well if your TI is working fine even at high perfomance 7/8 parts+FX and lots of Automation, consider yourself a lucky person!!

Cheers Mate

Brutal!

I'm assuming SX3 and Nuendo have the same core engine, so the difference wouldn't be there.

I've bounced all the stuff I've done before getting past 1 or 2 parts, so perhaps I definitely haven't pushed the performance limits like you have... sounds like keeping it conservative is the way to go until new updates!

You've got me interested now though... did you say there are specific patches that are prone to problems? I guess I should poke around that forum you posted.

Funny, that Aisling guy on that board is an old friend of mine...           http://soundcloud.com/aeon604

Yes the sunesha forum deserves Access owners look, you can get lots of usefull info with previous models A,B,C, the new model is more self explanatory because of Virus control (when its functional)and the better screen and Shift button !!

"I'm assuming SX3 and Nuendo have the same core engine"
no,they have slight differences in the midi engine and sync mechanism,Cubase is better in midi and has been less painful than Nuendo in all this TI issue, but there are lots of Qbase and Logic users reporting all kinds of stuff related to the bugs i posted here !!

About the clicking patches :its the thing that worries me less, all the middle priced synths come with this kind of problem, my ion was like this Novation nova also,so this is a normal issue, that will be fixed with some updates ....

We borrowed one from a friend's shop; it was being sent back since it had bugs; but it worked fine hooked up just as midi device, and not installed as vsti integration style. Hopefully access with sort bugs soon; great instrument.           Cytopia.org
