hi all!

ive just reformatted and re-installed windows.
after re-installing logic and my sampler instuments/wav. files, every time i access the EXS24 instruments, i get this message:

Result Code = 5
Access is Denied

it happens whenever i open a track with an EXS in it too. - one message for each instrument.
i can still use and edit the sampler, the message is just getting annoying...
must be something simple, can anyone help?

10x

:)

It is a known problem.

No (E)magic solution i'm afraid,
but to make your EXS kits from the begining....

if you Do find the way let me know

bilbo - can u use the native logic plugs in cubase???? i dont use cubase but thought this wasnt possible?

so what actually causes this phenomenon??

if there is no solution i guess ill just delete all the instruments then re-create them, got sssoooooo many tho!

what you have is a crack-vs-crack conflict.

a) uninstall all your VST & DX fx & instruments, uninstall Logic (using control panel entry)
b) clean registry (regedit.exe)
c) install logic .

from that point do check out how all the plugs work after you add another plugin.
and beware in the future.

hmmmm, ok, thanks bilbo, i will try that :)
BUT
im using all of the same plugs i had installed before the reformat and re-installation, absolutely no new ones! - and this never happened b4!
also
it seems only a prob. with the exs24, not the fx plugs,
why i get the message after i select an instrument IN the exs?

think ill just try re-creating the instruments first....

i don't think you installed the plugins in the same order like before, so this probably rewrote some library or magic file - thus, access denied.

you can do whatever you want though, it's your computer, you know :P
