But, no one here really knows of another 'easy' way of doing this?

As Dark Psy is loaded really with all those kick acclerations and pitchbended stuff, I assume that there must be an easy way of achieving this, rather than editing it in audio.

Err... because if it wasn't easy it wouldnt be worth it?

It's all about soundforge for that stuff, believe! And kick accelerations and bends arent really that hard in audio. Just fit the content, bounce to one wav or whatever and draw a pitch envelope onto it. The only tricky bit is making sure it stops on the right place, which isn't rocket science. Just a little trying... but only at first.

My understanding is all the best producers will gladly slice and dice before they even look at a plugin.

the way it's done in cubase is by pitchshifting a loop and turning off the time correction....           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

This works actually, but Cubase won't allow me to pitch up or down more than 12 semitones!?

you could also chuck the kick into a sampler, loop it and then play with shortening the loop end point...
havnt tried the cubase technique but with this u can get some really fast effects fm type effects using this...
u need to scope out a sampler where u can assign the loop end parameter to a midi controller though...

Yes, I got it.
Just the best way of doing this is, putting the kick sample in a sampler and have the mod or pitchwheel modulating the sample its pitch.

As well, I found a plugin called 'pitchwheel'.

Mubali i don't understand, by pitchshifting a sample in cubase how you told here means that all the loop will be warped up or down, but not gradually (like going up from 150 bpm to 200) or there's a way to do it in the pitchshift process?? peace

I'm not interesting in this kick trick . I'm really interested in : a sampler whichs start and endpoints of loop can be really automated... tell me atleast one name if you really know one..
..& no, kontakt etc does also not work here.(Im sure I've aksed this moths ago)

there is an option to pitch it gradually in the pitchshift function. So just use a 4 or 8 kickloop en pitch that. Bounce it pitch it again and again until you get what you want.

Or bounce a 4 kick loop and put it in a sample and adjust the speed/ pitch of the loop. Kontakt or Battery will do this nicely for example. And of course the ableton sampler.           soundcloud.com/supergroover
