Ok, I'm sorry about this, I know there was a topic about something similar a few weeks, but Ive been looking for it for a while and it's starting to drive me crazy (especially considering that I just*know* it has to be right under my nose).
So here's my question : Is it possible to link a midi knob to an effect which makes my kick goes more frequent when I turn it ? Like dividing a loop in half for each increment?
Let's say I have a kick that goes K---K---K---K
I turn my knob once and it's now K-K-K-K
Once more and it goes KKKKKKKKK
Etc...

automate effect number 3
or better , if you use fruity loops , play with the arpiggiator for the kick.
for fruity users here is HUGE tip use it wise u can be the next squarepusher doing that on slicer channel

in Live you can do that by Midi Effects:
Note Length and Arpeggiator, by controlling "Rate" of Arpeggiator. |

well..in cubase 4 when applied to the master it drop outs the sound irregular..but on a single channel its no problem..
