ABSYNTH 3 as FX

trying to use absynth 3 as fx in cubase but cant understand how
its input level meter shows that something going in but nothing comes out and out level meter doesent move...
anybody know how to or have some ideas? |

I'm not shure but try to go to the oscillator-section and choose (main) + (audio in)
In Absynth4 (maybe in 3 too) you can also choose to load a wav file into the osc - maybe thats an option too...

Its possible that you may have to have a key or midi note on to tell absynth to apply the effect. Have you gotten any sound when notes are "on"?

Have you RTFM?
Says Absynth 4 manual:
"External audio signals run through ABSYNTH’s signal path in exactly the same way as internally created signals and so are also influenced by ABSYNTH’s envelopes. This means that you do not hear audio signals from external sources unless ABSYNTH 4 has received MIDI notes and used them to trigger the envelopes!"

which fx you want from absynth?
for example
pipe - metalizer in cubase quite similar
the rest you can find on sfx machine pro
