First of all, I must say Sorry for my english, couse it's not so good.
I would like to know which Plug-ins are being used by Absolum for his "rubbery" sounds and how could I get them for free, if possible?
Thanx!

because there is specific sound distortion for most of his synths. Maybe I was wrong... :-/

Well... I am pretty certain that he was using Logic for quite a long time. I think he as moved over to cubase, but for his older releases I am rather certain that Logic was what he was using... As to any particular vsts that he was using, that I don't know...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

you might want to try any VST that has a glide/portamento function. That tends to give you a "rubbery" sound. Hope thats what you were after.

You should use your own sounds, and if they are good,it's bigger enjoyment if they are yours.

Well one type of synthesis that might be able to assist you in getting what you are looking for would be pitch modulation. It's pretty easy to do on most vsts that allow an ocillator (sp?) to be controlled by an outside source... LFO's are your friend. I'm sorry that I am being vague, but how I figured out half the sounds that I make was by sitting down and completely learning what each thing on my synths do. Some of them will have a harder learning curve than others, but you get the best satisfaction from taking the opening patch to a vst and bending it to your will till you come up with a sound you really like. Now for a while, you end up making sounds that will make you wtf? But once you make a sound you really enjoy and you actually know how you did it, it's a whole lot more rewarding...           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

maby stop asking those dumb question's!!!!!!!!!
there is no vst plugins or hardware with the same preset's as every artist use!!!!
the only thing you must know to reach those samples is "SYNTHESIS", after you know synthesis the only different that will be between the samples is how fat the sound's are!!
and i there are a lot of thing's that could make the sound sound's different as like as a good EQ, Effect's as like as distortion \ pasher ETC...
so you cant get the similar sound's he use but i you will learn synthesis you will get the closer sample to the original one...

mubali and S.D6 are completely right...

I can even add, tht if u know synthesis well enough u will start to hear how a sound is built, u can never hear it entirely, but u can hear enough to replicate it almost exactly if u really want to...

http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jul04/articles/synthsecrets.htm

this article really helped me to learn how to break down a sound into the parts that built it.

And it's like mubali says, there is definitely an LFO there (or it's done with automation), and it's definitely modulating the pitch, but i think it's also modulating cutoff frequency, and i think that the resonance might be selfoscillating (on a good sounding filter).
