Anyway Mr. Iron Madness, you make it sound as if we are working for you. You should work on that attitude of yours. If u are here only for the top 10, then this forum is probably not for u. Interesting that in other psy forums (not Israeli ones) u will almost never see top 10 threads.

what is goin on here..y is everyone gettin so fussy over this issue..jes because u cant see naymore KILLLLLLLLLLA or those funny icons...
yea till a limit i do agree that the record labels and artists usually post their stuff to promote their music...but atleast we wont have people showing off what all they have managed to download...
when i joined this place i tht the top ten would have some stuff that i heard off or somethin like tht but was suprised that out of most of the normal users top ten i dint even have one single track i used to wonder if i was really really out dated...
honestly...y cant we have top ten of released stuff only...isnt it worth it...coz stuff thats KILLER and unreleased will obviously be released if its KILLER!!!! so what if it is a little delayed....no big problem in that imo..

i'm only say my opinion...
and u can see i'm not the sole are thinking like this...
and the top's is not for the promotion...
evry body are giveing top ten with the music he love that...
and if some one are give a some top with some of my tunes so why i cant tell him thank???
to thank it's a big pastoralya and if the director's are so lazys so they can to appoint inspector's and if the inspector's are not doing a good work so they can say "bye" to the supervision...

Alright Me thinks that u are making a big thing out of a small little tiny issue here, chill out a bit man and leave the people who actually control this site do their job, cause on the end of the day they do not want to be bad people, they are just trying to do the best in a very logical way.
as I said before, u will still be able to say thanks to people my sending them pm (private message) and people will also be able to send u a pm (private message) saying how great ur top10 is and how thankful they are for u posting one of their tracks, but all of this done behind closed doors and no 39048032832 posts saying useless pointless quotes like "killer"

Alex, I really think u r too nice about all this. As I know you, u r rather objective person to look at all of this since neither top 10 nor too much trance action interests u at the moment, and that is why u r clear thinking about the situation much more than other users of this forum in my opinion. You should stick to yer plans and not be too much disturbed by extreme opinions coming at you - there are a lot of ppl that interested of this top 10 section to exist open to all. There are definitely more ppl that want that then ppl that want it closed or heavily moderated. But there are also much more ppl that do the file sharing thing 24/7 then ppl that respect artists and buy their work.
The guidelines for your forum were written exactly for these occasions, and you should follow them no matter what ppl try to say - most of those are interesants that need the top 10 for sharing, knowledge of new unreleased stuff and a little more EGO pumping from friends etc.. I find this section a real waste of time and I think it could be far better.
Making it better means being unfair to some ( I dont think it is unfair tho ) but anyway, do your thing and disregard all the bashing.

sorry but what exactly is so elitist in all this? the way it was, top10 was basicly a place where people went to look for ideas what to download next. for some even that wasn't enough, but they actually had to show off with their latest downloads. some seem to get awful huge kicks every time they write "unreleased" or "unrlsd" or any other combination of those letters after a track. it sort of ment "yeah this one is really hard to download at the moment" when infact unreleased is supposed to mean that the tune is not released yet. in most scenes it would mean impossible to find since it's not released in any medium. in our scene it means go to soulseek or dc and negotiate a trade. now if you're a small time dj and want to show what you're playing in order to get booked, one might think that it's easier to contact some party crews and tell them.
so you say isratrance became a elitist forum because of what they did. i say it became a respectable one instead of a not caring one..

So basicly they've got a privilege to do something the majority can't. Like democracy is elitism because not all of us have the privileges a president has. But is that bad? Would you want every single american for example to hold the launch codes to their nukes? I sure wouldn't.
Okay it's pretty far out example and holding the "code" to post a top10 is quite different than holding a code to launch a couple of thousand nukes.
But then again we can reason. Launching a nuke is usually bad (one might argue that it might be always the case, but lets not get into that). But now, posting a top10, can it be bad? Where's the harm?
Now imagine some artist works with a track for say two weeks and gives it to this friend. Unfortunetly he doesn't know his friend is an asshole. The guy puts the mp3 in say soulseek. Now he posts a top10 and shows off with the tune. Suddenly somehow mysteriously loads of people know what to look for and many others show in their top10 that they've got the track too and it just spreads and spreads like a thai whore. Now the artist is ofcourse totally unaware of all this. He sends his track to some label and hopes to get it released on their next compilation. The label does some background checks and replies "Nah it's out there already". 2 weeks work ruined.

spot on...
i agree with the rules.. there were way too many people posting top 10 just to brag about all the new killllaaarrr unreleased trax they got...
and then when artists posted, they were endless amounts of people sucking artists' asses by saying they loved their top10, and one had to go thru so many pages of imo pointless comments...
that's why i fully agree with the fact that people can no longer reply to the top 10 section.. and please leave it that way, so i can go back to this section and check it again...
as far as changing the rules to stop trading, that's not gonna change anything imo.. people will still trade no matter what...
but at least we will get rid of all those teenagers who only care about who has the best killlaaaarr tracks... |

Hi Shaqattack , you think that the moderators have time for check every top and see if every singel tune is released ? well I don't think so...
The moderators do a holiness work in this forum and keep on high standards on their free time and you just enjoy it.
So I dont think that we (the memebers) have any right to blaming them for any kind of rule they state. |

you guys are acting like unreleaseds and so-called 'trading' (a term made evil by capitalism, which is based on 'buying' instead of the more tribal 'trading') are killing the music. I think they're actually doing a great job in promoting it, especially for new and up-and-coming artists. One of the biggest reasons I'd check the Top 10 once in a while was to see the new artists mentioned in the tops. I think labels do that a lot also...
