IMO i think its a very harsh step taken.Its going to make the forum less xciting for me ... as the top10 section is one that i visit everytime i log on. Its nice to see what new music is out... i agree the artist r the ones that should post max no of top10s and that makes it a much better read but not all artist r on this forum and often coz of this many of our fav artist music is neglected. In a jist having member post creates Diversity on the forum...rather than it being restricted to the style of music certain artist that post play.
I think the rule should be that old members should be allowed to post top10's .Newbie's should not to allowed so as to control trading. Also not all the artist and label owners post top10s so the rules for them should be that if they dont post one every month their membership should be terminated  just kidding... But u guys should open up the section soon will be welcomed by many.  |

i think the intention is fair and good but yes, others should have the right to show the music they like too, also nothing can stop trading, how do u get veteran on this forum? By posts? If it is then people will flood to become veteran.. If being veteran means being registered for 3 years then people beginning now will only be able to show the music they like in 3 years?
After all, i dont think trading hurts this forum or trance scene.. since its their choice nothing u can do will stop them. Also, big artists do trade too.. If the guy cant wait to listen to 8.shanti-spirithorse{sub-6 rmx}(unrel) lol. then let him go search for it, i did it when i started i dont do anymore long time ago cause of my situation. I didnt find a reason to spend hours of time dealing with some cool and some nasty people, to listen to a supposed killer to play at home for myself, mainly cause the supposed killers most time wasnt killers at all, the true nice music artists keep for themselves and u only listen at their lives/djsets.
If i was an active Dj, i could start doing it again, since its good for you and good for the people, they want to listen new cool things, yeah its always mp3 but its "ok" .. U may choose as well, follow a line and buy only original released cds, if u can build an history in your set and create the trance vibe, u must be talented, have feeling, then u r done too  like shane gobi follow this lines, and dmitri nakov follow the killer line
But dmitri nakov does have the REAL killers, traders will only get the compilation number xxx 1 month before all people are saying at cd reviews section : damn i expected much more etc etc etc.. course eventually they can get a Void 3rd dimension (gms rmx) nice, and they play it one month before everyone else is playing, people love it they love to see the floor going crazy, and thats nice isnt it? for everyone??
Since its so rare these days, to get an ALien project - one good since this kind of track is rarest to be released thesedays, the better option i think for new djs to success is following a line and trying to create a trance vibe. better then this is go make music
well this was too long i tried to make a constructive opinion without hypocrisy, hope i have helped, this is how i feel the scene goes today and i think the better way is to let trance FLOW.

Ok, I'm not personally concerned with traders and don't see what the big fuzz is about.
People trade no matter if a top 10 exists here or not of course.
When I did visit the top 10 I always found the tops from artists and labels boring and stopped checking them.
Just the same releases as in both review and promotional sections.
Maybe people will start posting about non released artists that deserve recognition in the "DJ's & Artists" section instead now.
Otherwise you might as well bundle it all into one big promotional section IMO.

I might agree with you Spindrift, but in my opinion it is still better than tracks that most of the time u don't know their real name since they might be stolen from some DJ's case ( that happened few times in last year or two pls don't deny it ). That is one of the extreme examples, and there are many more. As for me, when I didn't deal with DJing and music making, I would walk into the shop and buy CD's after listening at the counter, very easy. No need to get recommendation for new unreleased killaaaa, and anyway no one knows when it gonna be released anyway...

IMO, this time the Isratrance crew went too far. with all the respect to their effort and all the hard work they're putting into this great forum, I don't think the trading will go away cause of the new rules. the only thing missing from now on will be some fresh and interesting top tens, from people with great taste in music. just like Spindrift wrote before me, I also find most of the artists and label related personal top ten posts kind of boring, and usually serve one goal only - self promotion.
To be honest, I mostly read the "normal" users tops. can't be bothered with reading all the self promo tops, sorry...
in a way, this is a knock out to the underground side of this scene !! I find it not fair at all ! pure elitism !! I believe many new artists and small time dj's will suffer a big loss from the new rules. loss of exposure to their music and style, loss of future contacts to labels, loss of the good vibes and the support they need so much, in order to keep up with their hard work !!
just because some kid has a release, and his nick is blue, suddenly I'm suppose to admire his great taste in music ?? give me a break...
one thing is sure - this forum will not be the same for me from now on.... less interesting, less open minded (as if it ever was...).
all this BS just so some mods will not have to see the term "killa!" in front of them ever again ??
I agree, some top tens should be deleted from time to time, but not like this !
the top ten section is what moves this forum, again, IMO.
thats it. really hope these new and harsh rules will be gone soon, cause they don't belong in here.
I personaly want to see top tens from "normal" members, people like me, just as much as I want to see the ones from the artists and label, if not more !!!

Top10 was and will remain imo one of the most boring sections of the forum.
Yes, I ckecked it out once in a while, but I will lose no sleep over this.
I agree with two people here, Yuli and Perfect Stranger (hehe).

I think that it is not a good rule. The main problems of the section were both unreleased top tens by traders and self promotion by artists and labels. For one thing I as a small time dj and member of this forum do not feel good about it. I do not wish that the whole section is abolished eitherways.
P.S. The review section can't replace a top ten one for dj use at least.

I think removing the possibilities of replies on the tops by other ppl defeats the purpose of the top 10.
If its to be like this wouldnt it be better just to delete the whole section rather tham making it Elitist as was previously mentioned?
I use the top 10 section to let ppl know what is brewing in Ketuh stables. not to trade. . . .

IMVHO, I think that it's a good change, all this post replies with killer top, mega top, supa top and all the rest it was like throwing nothing in nothing...just a waste of hd storage and bandwith at the end of all. and now instead of put 10 names of whatever you want to promote you have to make an interesting top with long description on why you choose that tracks or what is the reason you play that tracks.. instead of throwing 10 tracks and wait the sworm of empty words coming....
