200 people voted , mostly forum regulars and a handful of labels and djs promoting mostly their own stuff ..that's a bit sad imo , whats the point ? this is no way to really get the pulse of things ,to know what people are actually digging these days etc , bit pointless , wasn't it ?

yeah it sucks to few people interested in participate, maybe it should be promoted more in some way.

But voting does help to boost an artist's confidence etc.

2008 was pretty sad in terms of quality of releases unfortunately imo which is why the lukewarm response. ASAT. cant see any other reason why people did not vote.

This is the way to get the pulse of things on isratrance. It does not reflect what is happening the real world, just the taste of the few people that regularly log on here.

This poll is just for fun as much as many of poll no matter of forme, location, portal or else...
Shouldn't be take it so serious. No one can't be the best. Yeasterday you didn't even exist, today you are the best, tomorrow you can be history etc, etc...
Nothing takes forever so, life would be much more easier if some serous things got it as fun and do it as fun, not to mention stuff like poll where everything is so relative...
Just chill and have fun! Who care about thing that cant harm you!?

I agree absolutely, esp on the labels and djs and their friends promoting them.... very lame way to promote BTW 
Dunno about previous years as I didnt follow this poll back then but 200 votes for an International Forum like this makes the whole thing pointless and in the end results show nothing really. |

This poll is like a "tradition", it's real purpose is to keep DETOX busy.
It's supposed to be fun, the most interesting part of it is to read the vote of people you know in the forum, and listen to some of the music in which people with similar taste voted.
A lot of people do not vote, they wanted to, but leave it for later and end up forgetting about it.
For the people asking for friends to vote on themselves: you know who you are and you know how lame you are.
So let's have fun PMing DETOX about the results.

This poll has nothing to do with any industry polls (like the DJ Mag poll for example) and is created by people who love this music and website for the people who also love this music and website.Nothing more nothing less so whoever wanted to vote was free doing so and whoever didnt care to vote just skipped the whole procedure,as simple as that and i dont think that any further analysis is needed on the issue.
I dont think that the winners of this poll will gain anything at all and i doubt anyone will use the results of this poll for his own profit.I mean who remember's last year results anyway?
200 votes in a forum like this is nothing and the results will indeed show nothing at all but the same would be true even if all 5000 members of isratrance would vote because like i said the meaning of this poll is to have fun and not to prove who is the best and who is not.
Whoever thinks that this poll is created to prove which artist/label is the best and which festival/album is not in the top list then i am sorry to say that he has lost the whole meaning both of this community and of this poll.
A HUGE THANKS from my side to Peyote and a3k who helped me a lot with the results calculations,in my poll they are both on top of the list
