 I feel your pain bro.
Sad to say, but there probably isn't anything going on in Orlando or anywhere around you.
I know that because I will be moving to that are pretty soon and I know the future looks pretty bleak.
If you are intrested there is some kind of party coming up in a couple of weeks in Ft. Lauderdale. There should be a little trance there, but nothing to write home about. Hope I could help.

I will be moving into that area in January. Perhaps we can start something? If your game I'm game. Perhaps all it will take is to contact pre-existing promoters and pitch something to them about booking one or two psy-trance DJ's for the alternative room and see if it will work or not. Slowly introduce it into the area.

You know that sounds good to me.
You are probably right about starting small at a club with just an ordinary DJ, but my gut feeling is that if you want people to come to your party and hook them on psy-trance then you eventually need to throw an outdoor event.
It's either that or you need 3 or 4 people (which we have)to take some money out of their pocket and invest in bringing a name that you know will blow people away.
This might be because I am moving there, but I think the place with the most potential in North/Central Florida would be Gainesville. It's a huge college town (over 50,000 students) it's an hour from Disney oops I mean Orlando  , and an hour and a half from Tampa. It used to have one of the biggest club scenes in North America until a couple of years back when they passed liquor laws forcing clubs to close at 4.
I know about a warehouse that holds legal D'n'B and hip-hop shows right now in Gainesville. I am pretty sure that you dont have to close so early but you need to supply your own sound system.
Anyway, enough bullshiting for one night, I'll be alot smarter when I move there in Januray. I'll keep you guys posted.

Yah, that sounds good to me  Right now I am talking on another board that just emerged; www.psytrance.us and there are a few peeps on there that are from Florida also talking about getting something started. I think that if we can consolidate our resources and plan something we can get somethign going. And if it doesnt take off, hell we will have a nice break from that pragmatic progressive crap thats big over there.
