i want to buy a Phat Boy Controller and a MIDI Control Keyboard but i cant efford both..
which do u think is more important?
also is buying some old or used Synth better then midi keyboard? |

Don't buy a phat boy!
I know this controller, it is very expenssive and doesn't offer you alot of functionality.
You can find a cheaper midi-keyboard which has knobs on it! They sell this kind in "music shop".
Anyway - no doubt that a midi keyboard is "much" more important than a midi controller. |

You mean more knobs then just the modulation and pich wheels.. |

Yes, that's what I mean. Actually I think there's more knobs on it than the phat boy has and it's cheaper. |

But do the midi keyboards with the knobs, work the same as a midi controller when you try to sync it with something like fruity loops or other soft synth/sequencers?

I never saw this keyboard, I only heard about it from the guys at
"music shop", from what they tell (which is some times pretty doubtable, I must admit) the knobs on this keyboard function exactly like real time midi controllers. |
