About Cubase 4 and older plugins

Hi there
I just started a new track with my new Cubase 4, but i was neither surprised nor angry when i saw that Quadrafuzz (the most important) and other plugins where missing.
I searched on the web and it appeared that older plugins have been totally replaced by new VST3.
Otherwise, Steinberg said that it is possible to run older plugins with Vst Bridge. Okay. I can use Quadrafuzz as an insert for almost 20 seconds, and so Vst Bridge crashes automatically.
Bassline without Quadrafuzz :-((((((((
Any tips ?

For me it works fine...i just have to leave it open..like i can change parameters but as soon as i minimize it it will crash..even when i disable it it will crash..so i just leave it open in backround and everything is good..did you do any of these?like disable or minimize?

i donno what you people talking about...i have cubase 4 and it came with all the older cubase plugins and they work great, no bridge needed quadrafuzz works great as an insert.
hugaw , do you have the original cubase 4? or is it that really bad cracked version that been arround the internet lately?

in the dvd u will find a folder containing the old plugins.. just search properly and copy the .dlls to your actual plugin folder... they will work just fine... |

no bridge needed?thats strange..usually all of the plugins with the 2 signed..need this bridge..at least here in my place..
and it crashes quite often..as mentioned above..hmm
maybe its cause i`m on macosx?
don`t know..

But the problem seems to appear only on Mac OSX with Intel systems. On PC i didn't notice anything.

in cubase.net you can read that some older plugins on mac only work on ppc macs. on intel you can use the bridge in cubase 4.1 to get this plugs to work. but it needs a lot of cpu to emulate ppc code on intel systems.
i think its time to make bass without quadrafuzz
