I just recently picked up a demo copy of Ableton Live 7 and I am really digging it a lot. I just wanted to know how I could use the sequencer as I would say on Cubase or Reason. Here's an example of what I mean (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKUb9Txoe1c&feature=related). If you notice he's doing everything from the arrangement view and nothing from the session view. If anyone could help me that would be great. |

Thanks for the response, but actually I already know how to get into arrangement view. I just wanted to know how I could do everything from arrangement view instead of using session view. |

yeah, like x-rayz said, didnt he show you all? It seems u have only been using session view, am i right?
Well i think this might give a hint:
In arrangement mode, insert your instrument on your midi track, mark how many bar/beats your want, press ctrl+shift+M or right click and select insert midiclip, doubleclick the new midipart and you get the pianoroll.
Other then that, dude read the manual. Dont take it the wrong way, but its ussualy the fastest way to get an answer.
Hope it will help you |

hello !! in the top of the window of ableton , there is a bottom which marks if it`s in arrangement view/session view , so it means that if you`re in arrangement view will play what you have in arrangement mode, and viceversa. so!!! need to be on or off the botom that indicates it! |
