A noise oscillator, with no attack, a short delay, an equally short release, and no sustain can give you a snare/clap sound.

Here's a video I made!
How to create random sounds by dragging a note on the piano roll. And then record those sound by using audio resampling!
My example is a little bit sloppy, but you can get GOOD sounds!
Of any type... talking synths, growling, weird! It just depends of the sample you're using! Then you chop the wave, select the best parts, fx it, bounce it... anything you want.
Live is great on these features

Here's what I think mate
It takes years to learn to make good psytrance. Unless you plan on creating the longest isra thread ever I don't see the point of posting small updates every day.
What is it exactly that takes so long? Its mostly training your ears. People with a very musical background may be a bit faster at this, and its an interesting process because it never stops. At certain points you'll get over a threshold and then you'll know what I'm talking about.
What me and anyone else thinks about your kickbass loop etc is not important. What do YOU think? Compare it on different speaker systems to a released track that you respect and be honest to yourself. You have to train your ears to know if your stuff is good instead of asking others. By all means ask about specific techniques.. but spare the "is this good?" until you at least think it sounds great yourself.
(of course play your stuff to your friends but be aware that it can be a difficult position for them to give critique. Unless they really know what they're talking about, don't worry too much what they say but rather observe the gut reaction...)
Sorry if it seems vague and useless at this point, but this is the best advice I can give you.
