Hi ppl.

I´ve been reading an interview by a famous dj from Brazil. And he was saying good things about the Ableton Live.

Now I want to make myself clear: He said that Ableton Live is great, but not to use with Pioneer mixers... Only Allen & Heath is ok to use. I ask WHY???? He said that Pioneer invested too much on cd, and in fact the evolution is software.

ha ha ha ! He might be a good dj, but i wouldn't trust him when it comes to audio technology. Does he wear an Allen&Heath cap and headphones when he plays out?

I've honestly used both, and it really doesn't matter. Allen & Heath are good mixers, but so are pioneers. The main differential between the two mixers is the fact that the Allen & Heath have 4 band eqs and the pioneers have 3 band eqs. Which IMO the 4 bands aren't very good for quick switching eqs.

Sound qualitywise, I've never noticed too big of a difference between the 2 mixers. For djing, the way that I dj I like Pioneers better. For live sets, neither one sounds worse than the other, it just depends on the condition that the mixer was in. I've heard some beat up A&H's that sounded like Numarks....
