I created a thread a while ago but it seems to have dissapeared. If anyone can find it: delete this thread plz & apologies for the inconvenience.
That said, I still have the multicore problem in ableton. Basicly live doesn't detect the two cores. The button remains grey. I've tried a lot:
- xp sp3 detects the second core. Other sequencers (like FL) do too.
- I tweaked my boot.ini (gamers tweak) for full multicore support.
- The really funny (*sigh*) part of the story is that when I rewire Live to FL (live in slave), the button DOES work and I can use my two cores. Unfortunately, live as a rewire slave sucks big time since it supports no vst(i).
- the question was asked on the live forum and no response too...
So the button "an sich" isn't the problem, I got live 7.0.3, everything is up to date, the same version of live on my other pc does recognise multicore. The pc I'm working on does find multiple cores, works with them in EVERY program EXCEPT live and it's driving me insane. ANYONE? P-lease :/

What CPU and mobo are you using? Also, 7.0.3 is an outdated version, upgrading might help. |
