hi guys,
i was wondering about a problem im having.
ableton live gives you the option to make a session view arrangment and a arrangement view also. but most of the time i sit down to make a track and just make all the clips for the basic body of the track and get to lazy to put it together in an arrangement..
What do you guys do to over come this vise in ableton live? do you right away start working on the arragemnt view as if the session view doesnt exist?
thanks

or just select all your clips from the session view (ctrl A) and drag them all over the sesion-arrangement icon on the right up corner of live (3 vertical or horizontal lines) and still dragging drop them all over the first channel.. so you will have all your clips on the arrangment view now. vice-verse is also valid. sure you will have to make some adjustments but it works just great. same method is valid in reverse way. anyway.. a lot more triks of how to switch from one to another you can learn in the tom cosm page. really usefull tips!

For composition in Live, I go straight to arrange mode. |
