Thought Ableton only uses it's own plugs? Or am I wrong there? Maybe he uninstalled something that was essential, or a driver got screwed up?

ableton uses it's own plugins.. i have many for cubase but it doesn't mess up with ableton live, i have it only for, let's say, dj sets! i did unistallation and then i installed it again it still does that crapy thing when i want to load a track in live, it doesn't respond!!

it can take all the 3rd party plugins you immagine, just set the correct routing for the vst plugins folder from the preferences in live and you're on.

The bug with opening tracks and live crashes comes from a third party plugin, what i used to do in these cases is opening the vst plugin folder live is routed to and remove the vst's dll's one by one until live opens correctly without crashing, its super frustrating when you have 300 plugs and over, but its the only way to track which one of them was causing the problem, hope this helps.

its very easy theres nothing to it believe me, when you installed live you should have setup the vst plugins folder from the preferences of ableton live, which normaly would be: c/steinberg/vst plugins. so make sure that its the folder you are using to load the vsts from live.

open that folder and start dragging out the 'dll' files of every plugin you have in it and put them in the desktop. every time you take a plugin out of this folder open live again, and if it opens without crashes it means that that particular plugin is causing your problem in live. after discovering the problematic plugin put the rest of them that you put on your desktop in the vst plugins folder were they were before.

to make you understand the concept of this immagine youre at home, and the electricity starts to switch of totaly from the main panel, and whenever you switch on the main switch again the electricity goes off instantly or after a few minutes. what has to be done is to take out all your appliances plugs from the wall sockets and re insert them one by one, when you insert the problematic plug the electricity will go off again, therefore you know exactly whats causing the power cut! , so basicaly this is the same concept as above. Hope this helps, if you still cannot figure it out feel free to ask dude.
