"that will be released before the end of 2007"

I don´t find anything about Dual Core processors processing optimizing...

In live 6 disable the multiple cores support, in sometimes, enchance the performance...

I think you remember incorrectly.
Live supports dual core on both mac and windows.

I'm not sure what circumstances psychowave is referring to, but in the performance test done on the ableton forums, dual core machines clearly outperform single core, and windows outperforms OSX on bootcamped machines.

I like the sound of improved MIDI timing and 64 bit audio engine.
Otherwise they bother too much with new plugs it seems.
Why do I need a spectral analyser...what's wrong with voxengo span?

Anyway...MIDI timing was my biggest gripe and otherwise I'm very content with version 6, so if that is more solid I'm a happy chappy.          (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

I Dont't bother.. this new version has updates aiming production. and for me ableton should look into improve and make even more new stuff for live action ...

I know many of you use ableton to produce but I don't like it for that.

So the way I see is that Ableton it is losing it's focus and Live is, maybe, going to be too heavy on every update. packed with stuff that is not useful for live acting.

but just maybe.. I can be wrong..

Maybe the performance don´t slow too much...or don´t slow...but I have sure...I don´t see any diference between multicore on or off...

I feel they Ableton don´t use all power of multicore processors...the engine do not use all advantage of a multicore...
Is just a feel..maybe I´m wrong..

Have you even checked out the new drum racks?? If thats not performace aimed i dont know what is.
This seems like a pretty comprehensive update. STill i am a bit dissapointed they did not add crossfades, the ability to record automation into the session view and surround sound support. As these have been requested for ages!!!           http://soundcloud.com/seer
