There used too be a thread on t♫e matter here on isra some time ago and i remember some guy had made a nice plugin too ableton.
Anyone know the one im thinking of?.

I tried searching but the search function makes things more confusing then unraveling.           .

Thank you!, the granulator was what i was searcing for.

with grain delay your not able too do thouse extreme time stretches for wierd ambience, thats why this plugin comes handy           .

try taking an unwarped audio clip in arrangement mode and stretching it via the transposition.

then warp the clip and bring the transposition back to 0

then select texture as the warp algorithm and play with the grain size & flux

Interesting that you can do that in arrangement only. Just tried it on session and it doesn't work.

Neat trick, nice one.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

^ aye cool trick, i just tried aswell why doesnt this work in session view??

i usually just double the tempo of the clip itself as many times as allowed (you can flatten it and go again but then the previous algo is kept aswell) and then switch the algo to tones or texture, both give nice granular effects!
