this is about as useful as finding out that you can upgrade your car for free to have a heads up display, but at the cost of it disabling your sound system.

Any news for ableton 9?
64bit will be a step forward for this great daw.
I just saw this post but seems like 1 year old so...

It¢s just a few days out from the 2011 NAMM show, and there¢s talk that it may bring the announcement of Ableton Live 9. It¢s been almost 2 years since the last major release, giving some substance to the rumor – so, what features might Live 9 bring?
According to the official rumor, Live 9 will include:
64-bit support
New effects
Soundcloud integration
A new synth
(source: www.synthtopia.com)
All of these features seem pretty believable – 64 bit support is pretty likely, as are some new effects. A new synth and Soundcloud integration aren¢t so definite, but would certainly be well received features.
What about the not-so-official rumors? Here¢s a few:
Stability improvements
Built in Max for Live
Dual monitor support
Track comping
