It's clear to me how I would go about changing presets using an external synth between ableton clips, but how would I go about doing it with Operator?
I have options for changing bank, sub bank, and program, but have no bank to use with Operator. |

I was wondering that too because if you input or duplicate an Operator clip in the same channel, it makes the settings the same as the other clips in that channel.

That's how it works with any synth in pretty much any sequencer. Normally you would be able to change banks and presets between MIDI clips just by clicking on the clip and changing some settings on the left, but the Live instruments and fx have a weird way of dealing with banks and presets. I haven't been able to figure this out either.

I'm wondering if its already there.. Seems like a concept they should have already discussed. Help me find it. |

"Since Live 6 you can acheive something like it using instrument racks using several instances of the same instrument and switching between them with the chain selector - then you have to use clip envelopes to select the correct chain." |

It took a matter of minutes.
I just got it working and it's all fine.
Load up an instrument rack and then drag patches or instances of whatever instrument into the chain view on the instrument rack. Then just automate the appropriate mixer settings on the chains you dont want playing. |
