Ok, i am searching for anyone with experience and knowledge in creating a live set within the Ableton environment.. I have a live set in approixmately 2 months, I have all of my material composed within SX..
1. how to structure the set utilising both audio and midi..
2. making it as interactive as possible whilst maintaining that sheen of production..
Do I have to literally strip my tracks apart seperating kicks , bass, hihats etc
I saw someone in brazil playing live on it, although I think he was just playing full waves... This seems like the easy option for me.. but i could just do that in sx...
Advice please

PsiChrono,
The bigest diference to use Ableton instead of Cubase or Logic is that the program was made for live acts - SX was made for production.
U can use VST, audio loops/fx and analog synths (with or without midi notes) without any problem or crash - of course it depends of your CPU and what u are using "live").
And u can use all that live and in exactly tracks bpm. U just have to put all tracks ecxatly in the grid and "warp" it (u have this option for all audio tracks). And when i mean exactly, i really mean it!
If u do that right, u can press the start button of all audio fx and midi notes the time u want - they will be on the tracks bpm.
I use it and i recomend!
About using the entire track or using separated channel (bass+kick, drums, synths etc). It depends of what u want to do live. If u use it separated, u have more control of your track (u can send the output of each track to the channel u want), but u will lose the master.
As I said, it depends of what u want.
I use it and I recomend.
Best regads,
Fred
