cutoff 50%, Resonance 0%, envelope 100%, decay as you wish, Accent 100%
switch to midi notes
send notes with velocity of 128.
Tweak cutoff, decay, envelope from this point to you desire..
Forget EQ Comp etc. concentrate on the synth.

Dude, the ABL2 is the first synth that i try to make a bassline (unless the ones of FL) and your answer help me a lot.
Where i can set up the speed of the note on FL? (and see the value??)

other question, is possible to adjust the ASDR envelope on AudioRealism bassline?
edit.: please someone tells if this is normal. I pass a long time adjusting my bass, triyng to make it fits my kick (with both bass and kick playng) and after a long time twaking it i think that it`s ok fit and stop the sound. But after a couple a minutes when I play it again to hear the result, it is like i m hearing i totally different sound than the one I was hearing while adjusting the bass. I m gettin esquizofrenic with it.
And if anyone could give me tips for bass i will appreciate a lot. Right know i m not using any effects in either bass and kick. My kick is layered one low and one with a HIpass, but is really difficult to match a bass that plays in harmony with my kick.
I want it to sound more ``psy``, fat but compact at the same time. Hope this is a good explanation.
thanks in advance ``We shall not cease from exploration - And the end of all our exploring - Will be to arrive where we started - And know the place for the first time.``

first post here
@becktrank
i totally know what u mean. and i think its the thing getting used to the sound, when u tweak it without a break for a longer time. when u here it again after a while, ur ears a re "fresh" and recognise da real thing
i have this problem too...
tweaking twaeking tweaking for hours until i hear a monster bassline, short break at the toilet, listening again, and the monster bassline doesnt sound that phat anymore - no it sounds like crap... |
