I just want to mention that i looked at the top 100 dj's list and i looked for people from the psytracne scene. I found just IM, Astrix and skazi. all from israel. i thougt maybe i would see simon posford, gms or liquid soul. non of them is on the list...
i don't say it's meens anything but it's interesting.
i think Im are the best psy artists ever. astrix is the father of Fullon. and skazi....he has its certain style that was very popular few years ago..           http://www.youtube.com/user/ChichkeMultiTech

Music isn't a country phenomenon. It come from ppl themself.

Some person started to make good psy in Israel and it created a wave of other producer wich have developped certain technic for getting the israel Full-On sounds.

Its all about individual.           My music http://soundcloud.com/disrupted

The top 100 DJ list isn't a list of the top 100 DJs in the world, it's a list of the DJs in the world who want to be on the list of the top 100 DJs because it will bring them more bookings. In our scene, whether you're Simon Posford or Infected Mushroom, you still have to pimp your contact list to the point of spamming people to get enough votes to get on there. It's a corrupt popularity contest, nothing more. Infected Mushroom aren't even DJs so what are they doing on the DJ list?

Its never good to generalize.

I have around 30+ years of experience working with music and working in all kind of studios from small home studios to professional huge studios. I got a lot of knowledge both production-wise, music writing and technical tweaking and consider myself just as skilled and professional as any Israeli artist. But I don't come here too often to help as I probably should. But somehow I also think it's cool when people find out stuff by themselves instead of getting everything served on a silver plate.

Anyway a little rant. Point is you can't really generalize that way as there are good, bad and awesome artists/producers everywhere in the world.           www.beatagency.dk

Actually Flash Brothers from Israel got thrown out of the Top 100 because they had fiddled with the votes

And yes it's fun to see artists being promoted as Djs on DJ Mags Top 100 when they never Dj The Top 100 is one big scam and as Colin said it's all about how many you can "buy" to vote you onto the list.

Hm...

Imho, the top top top quality in electronic music usually comes from England for some reason

not just electronic music. of my favourite (prog) rock bands (floyd, jethro tull, (early) genesis, led zeppelin) everyone single one is from england.
perhaps if we all moved to england, our tracks would be ten times more killaargh!

+1 on djmag top 100 dj list being complete bullshit.

i think a lot of the comparatively obscure really crazy psy stuff is very well produced too , its just not as well known , i don't know whats so special about the israeli producers , they pioneered a style that made it big .. of course they r good at it , and it completely ok if that's someones favorite style of psytrance , ... & +1 on england being the most significant country for electronic music .. and Beatles onward all modern music in general i suppose .
