Its save patch/bank methode doesn't make sense to me.

Let say I edit an exisiting patch and want to save it under different name in the same bank. What do I do?
Yes , you would say, click on the preset save botton and nter name and save it. But I would say, NO, it doesn't work because it doesn't differ between preset and bank. As matter of fact, it just save the preset as a new bank.

And something els: the saved bank doesn't have a .fxb ending.
Can someone help?

thanks           -------------------------------------------------

when ure ready and done tweaking your pach , just go to the preset option and click SAVe , then select your folder , name the preset and save it ....

next time u wish to load the preset , again preset menu .. load , browse and then load ...

remember , fxp = preset
fxb = preset bank

If you're using cubase click on the disk icon next to the
vanguard presets and choose "save instrument".
Go to a folder you like (e.g. vstpresets/vanguard) , name the preset and choose save.
If you're doing this in fruity , click on the arrow just below the "plug" icon on top left corner of the vst and choose "export cubase preset" , then do the same as above.

Yes , thanks, it is obvious. But after saving my patch under a folder, I 'm trying to re-open that patch. The patch itself loads, but the new given name doesn't appear inthe preset LCD.           -------------------------------------------------

OK , here is some work around.

1- You load any bank and save it within VAN and name it
whatever i.e "My VAN Bank.fxb". To keep it organized, save
it there, where the other Banks are located.

2- You create a SubFolder with the name i.e. "My VAN Presets"
under the same bank folder above.
3- With the above bank loaded, you go to LCD and rename
every preset to EMPTY. So you have 127 presets with the
name EMPTY(these slots are not really empty, but it doesn't
matter). Tip:Create a copy of this bank for you future
banks.
4-Now, you create a Folder with the name i.e. "My Presets" on
your desktop or wherever.

5- You load whatever bank and tweak any preset and save it in
the above" My Presets" folder and give it a name with an
ending .fxp
6- Now you load your "My Van Bank" and select the first
"Empty" preset.
7- Load the desired preset from "My Preset Folder"

8- Rename the preset in the LCD (click on its left) to the name that you have in the "My Presets Folder".

You are finished now. To check, if your preset is inyou Bank, just click on the preset in the LCD, and you will see your preset among other Empty slots, which you can fill the same way.

I KNOW IT SUCKS TO SAVE THINGS THIS WAY, BUT YOU MAY WANT TO SEND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE A NASTY EMAIL ABOUT THIS. MAYBE THEY FIX IT BY THE NEXT UPDATE. >>>

Sorry Raoul, it's still not having it.

Not sure how many patches you are trying to zip, but if you want to email them to me, I can zip them for windows users and post them here.

Pm'd my email to you
