These days trance is losing me, very hard for me to listen to the full on music that i could listen to just a few months ago. I'm not sure what it is, maybe i'm getting older, maybe i'm losing range in my hearing and as a result the sound is less appealling. Whatever it is, its happening and i'm dealing with it. lots of ambient lately playing in my stereo, in my car, lots of twisted records stuff as always. hard for me to really go above 142 bpm now adays. i just wanted to point out that a few artists from israel are making me stay in this scene with their amazing music, sounds that are crunchy, clear, crisp, and oh yes - psychadelic! nested in a somewhat proggressive structure: Psysex, Sub6, Panick, Intellabeam, Pixel, Domestic, Cyclic have been the reason for my recent auditory pleasure! Even in a party, there is no need to play with any part of the eq when their music is played, simply perfect! these guys are doing this at 136-142 bpm with amazing grooves, and uncanny abilities of sound production and clarity. I anxiously wait for the upcoming Sub6 album due out sometime in the fall, and the new Psysex - Come in Peace, I know Intellabeam is working hard on his and Panick is now touring, playing one of the most psychadelic albums of the year. I tip my hat to you artists, you do amazing work, keeping the psy scene still psy, not full on madness and not empty progressive (in my opinion). Keep it up and keep my brain tingly! -Thanks.

about the first thing, personnaly i have "phases" in my taste. one month i'm tottaly into scary tech-trance and in the next i'm fluffed it just depends on the genral mood of the time.
as for your second point, i 100% agree. trance is not innovative these day, except these guys of course (and a few others).
i like to call them them comic trance cause they remind me of comics           REHAB is for quitters

im amazed by them... (and few more...)
good work... just feelings... what a fine music...
createvity wich almost cant be found in other artists nowadays...
keep it up you "comic Trance" makers

i also agree with gilad... there time when im hearing this and times when im hearing that...
dependes on the mood.

be diverse. never confine yourself to 2-3 musical styles. do what i do - Listen to trance, and than house, hip hop and than metal, classical and than pop. that's my solution for the faint at heart. before trance, i was a pure metal freak, and over time i found it redundant as a single form of music to listen to. so i turned to trance. and than i incorporated that turnover to all musical aspects in my life. Jason... i was a Metal freak like you

from the strong ones... didnt open myself to other styles of music...
then i get to a point when i said... "where does it lead..." "how can i continue with that..." "its not interesting me anymore..."
then i found Trance... and i opend myself to lots of styles (not just trance...)
Trance changed me... not because its "Trance"... because it was new wonderful sounds for me... it made me more open to other music...
so i found things i like and i keep finding them...

i still love metal... i have lots of it at home... but im not saying "metal is the only music for me"...
its every sound that i like.
basecly, trance/ambient is my favorite right now but im not hearing only Trance or a "Trance freak".... im floating

so... if im not a metal freak anymore... and turn more open mind... is this calld getting old?

as jason said it perfectly "keep your mind open"
