If you get the message "no more mixer channels" when you try to open a VSTi, especially a VSTi with multiple channels like halion, uninstall programs which has rewire channels in Cubase, such as rebirth.
This is in the courtesy of Sospub.

Look at the bottom of the page. They're the pros, I trust them.
And yeah, the tip also applies to Reason.

Well i checked it, and instead of phisically uninstalling the software i shutted down all rewire channels. And guess what i got 8 Stereo channels. That's extra 2 i think.
Thanx a lot Tom!           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

hahA! another tip for cubase/nuendo users: Cubase/nuendo sx3 (dont know about C4) dont export preferences and key bindings (shame on them), however the bimdings can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Steinberg\Cubase SX 3 in the file "Key Commands.xml". Just copy it and when need to reinstall Cubase you'll have your key commands safe!
