A thread that Hos nothing to do with music but all at the same time

I guess for me it comes down to perception as apposed to actual experience …… and yes this is just a guess because I may change my mind by tomorrow.
A question: Do you believe everything you read?
So a text book tells you that humans come from apes. Do you believe this theory because a little old man in a white coat says so, and because your science teacher at school made you write it down from the black board.
Do you sit down to a meal and eat before asking what’s in it?
So there is information to possibly back up this theory. However no one was actually there to prove it. No one has it in their personal experience to confirm this event. Even if someone could prove it, and was actually there to see these events take place….. would you believe them?
What if in ten years time they find new evidence to contradict these ideas and discover that apes evolved from the bestiality of humans. Would you believe them then?
The body is made up of atoms, …..what because it said so in a book?
Iraq had WMD’s,…..what because George W. Bush said so?
The sterile views presented so far, as to try and discredit the original post seem to be mere motivations in stimulating the ego. Fancy intellectual jargon sourced from books containing so called scientific material, which should all be inlayed with a disclaimer: all information in this work is subject to change without further notice.
Anyone can relay information from a book and spit out other peoples facts, because this is the only way they can feel safe in debate.
But it takes some one with real Balls to stand up and express a new idea.
An guess what? ….. that’s how all that information that you fill your self entertaining heads with came about.
That’s right ideas like the earth not being flat and the sun not orbiting the earth. Cconcepts that if you apposed, could mean you will end up being burnt at the stake.
I guess there is always going to be 2 types of people: one that leans to the right side of the brain, that all ways needs constant logic in their lives and forgets about the magick that’s brings much joy and happiness to the people around them. The other to the left, which lives in a world of creative infinity, but can be conquered by escapism.
………..But it takes a true master to bring both sides into balance and Logically Create endless possibilities.
Living in a ‘Square’ …… how boring.

Please don’t tell me you watch the six o’clock news without any disbelief or question the smorgasbord of propaganda feed to the masses.
But saying this TV can be very educational, but it is being able to discriminate on what 'shit' you are programmed with.
A simple guideline I try to use is…. ‘Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see’, …but keeping an open mind at all times.
…..and living in the now is the only way to true happiness, oops that was the Budda, and I forgot that’s just fair tales and hippy crap. Shame on that Budda he probably started a war with that comment.

Stuff with evidence at least has a chance at being usefully predictive, stuff without is airy fairy crap.
George W and his administration is a conniving ,rich sucked up, bastard and every1 BUT HIS YANK CONSTITUENCY could see what he was doing from a the moment he said WMD's. He is the object of the oly conspiracy theory Il entertain (far fetched as it is) being that he let 911 happen with as little loss of life as possible.Anyway where was I?
I am right brained myself. otherwise I wouldnt b trying to make music.
Im curious shamantrix what exactly do u believe in religion wise? Im 30, and Im a senior engineer in a company making those satellite decoder jobbies. |

Who said this thread was about trying to predict the future?
From my understanding the original post is pertaining to the theory of the Big Bang and human existence.
So you are telling me that all ideas, that are yet to be proven or disproved are just ‘Airy Fairy’ hippy crap!
I would love to hear you tell that to Newton or Einstein.

Interesting perception..... I myself see it on the Contrary. Music or any art seems to me a very creative process which would mean definitely 'Left Side' , however incorporating Cubase into the equation then would also encompass the 'Right Side'. So an ultimate balance of Neurological energy is at hand. Nice to see you actually surf the left hander at times.

No this thread is about belief in illogical unsupported theories, and Y they should/should not be believed. And no I have no problem with not yet proven /disproven theories, I have a problem with theories that are impossible to disprove.
I say that all ideas that are impossible to disprove are airy fairy hippy crap, and theories without evidence are more than likely the same, so much so that any1 not supporting it should not bother propounding it (hence take a hike). Im am only opposed to unsubstantiated crap. That simple. SO NO I AM NOT OPPOSED TO IDEAS.
For some reason in my psychology lectures the left brain was the syllogistic and language seat and the right was holistic perception, abstract thought and music seat. Donno dont feel like looking it up anyway. |

D- Jade it’s a shame you started your post with “tell me I’m wrong I would love to hear it” , because that’s exactly what you attracted, people that love to prove others wrong.
Partially me included.
The thing is you are not wrong and far from it, but you are not right either.
Weather this experience was from an altered state or not….. it is your experience!
And a fantastic one at that.
All I can say to you is that; I totally encourage all visionary experimentation and hope you haven’t been shunted into expressing them to others.
I’m a true believer in disbelieving beliefs, but remain open to anything that comes my way.

And yes you are apparently correct about the left right brain thing. Proving again that both sides of a conflicting concept, end up leaning towards the same point of origin.
Which makes me think of the Diamond concept; …..when which we are all looking at the same diamond, but just looking through a different facet.

You say that you love yourself, ....do you truly? . The constant need to negate another identifies with low self worth and a deep frustration in the acceptance of one's self.

Schizophrenia ..... now thats a concept that's loosely defined in any sense. Some may call it 'voices in the head' , others may call it the first stages of 'psychic ability'. Either way the current treatment for this so called 'disease' seems so very 1940's.
An apparent sickness that's stems from extremely broad thinking, a possible brief transference into the 4th dimension, and more than likely equating to a thorough piercing of childhood brainwashing . A prime example of being told that something is wrong with you, which then entails a negative burden for the rest of your your life... if you let it of course.
When really it could be looked upon as an awakening, or a connection to something bigger than the proposed transparent reality you've inherited.
I'm myself am usually paying $10 per 100 micrograms to gain something simular .
The term 'Old School' is deemed old for a reason ... it's old news! ..... it was all right for the time, but has just become superseded . With out a doubt , outdated theories are building blocks for the future existence of the human species. However they are not hard and fast logistical measures that we can rely upon to live by in any present moment.
As the universe is expands ...... so do we.
The possible slowing of the 'speed of light', heralds headlines like this:
Einstein's theory may be relatively wrong
..... bring forth the new, and lets hope we can all share it together.
