Just something I did about a month or two ago. I am more or less done with this track but if anyone has any final suggestions, any little details they think should change, I would love to hear them

hey, I am liking this so far but I think you could have a few wooshes and such to lead into 1:40, 1:54, and 2:08 where stuff is coming in. and the break is unexpected too, you should lead into that better.

imo your leads sound a bit thin or there are sounds missing from the low mid range during much of the tune. I also think you could take more advantage of the stereo field in the mix to make the whole thing feel bigger.

Sounding good mate, keep it up!           --

Great advice! I knew it needed something but just couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I think you hit the nail on the head! I will make those additions and post a newer version in the near future.

I like the intro. got a mystical kind of touch.
It progresses well, but i agree with equilzyme, a swoosh will do very well in these places.
I think you could work abit more on the mix aswell, it translates into my monitors as little muffled(dunno if that is a word but i think it describes well).
I would work a little bit more with the high pitched melody which comes in, perhaps make it abit weter.
Try to bring more clarity into the percussions aswell, working abit more with them would make it more drive´y.
All over its a nice and pleasent track, but you could work a little bit more with it.           .

I think the dullness is partly a product of too much bass, particularly in the 80-200 HZ range. I tried some new compression techniques with this and was craving mega bass and I think I over did it.

I think the excessive bass also draws a lot of my potential volume, essentially sucking the track dry so the pads and leads are left to pick up the thin amount of power left for all the mids and highs after the bass and kick hogged it all..
