i listened on the soundcloud test thread yesterday and i was wondering what DAW you used.
good midi work.
like the music lots.
just not a fan of the arcade game sound. it is like the sound style you get on some game patch\cracks. know what mean?
the bass sound good.

Thanks! Yeah, on the arcade game sounds thing - I like using a lot of 16th note patterns, and usually simple waves seem to sound the best. I can def improve in that area though. I think that's the next step.

That funky lead and smashing snare gives this track so much attitude.
I really like the screaming guitar coming in at around 3 mins. good job.
What Daw were u on before cubase? i just moved onto cubase 5 from Fl studio a week ago.
Cheers. |

Tightness. I love that you dig it. This song gets me pumped up before I go workout or go clubbing now haha so I hope to write more like it in the future.
I did some production with Cubase 3 when my dad had it back in the day, nothing serious, but i got familiar with it pretty well.
So I just got Cubase 4 to start trying to make psytrance about 2 years ago and just upgraded to Cubase 5 last week.
I've tried Fruity Loops and Ableton for short amounts of time. Fruity Loops was too loop oriented for me, and I feel like I didn't have as much freedom laying down riffs, but I know some people that can work that like magic so whatever, and same thing with ableton. I actually fell in love with Reason for a while and it was awesome, but the sound quality wasn't there for me. So I went back to Cubase, and if I need to I just re-wire it, because reason has a lot of good samples of real instruments, etc.
So I just love Cubase 5 and you should be happy you got it.
