I just had a really strange idea, (when very drunk) inspired by the sound of someone rubbing some polystyrene (the white bubbly stuff) that a new keyboard came in... it sounds very similar to that typical "detuned" squeek effect when you do it quickly, and it made me think of what other sounds you could sample and mix into a tune organic style.

Does anyone else know any other everyday noises which could sound amazing in a tune?
like the sound of zips being opened quickly,
or the sound of scissors closing etc...
Or like Ellis De Atraf who sampled his girlfriends cat on LSD some time ago if I remember correctly !

The sound of a big metallic marble/ball falling on a hard floor... good kick!

Most idealistic/utopistic kick: steel ball of 1m diameter falling on a steel endless floor.

Sequence of sounds: knitting 2 papers together.

Brushing your teeth really slowly and moving your mouth around as you do it to change the tone

Putting a mic against you stomach after a big meal to record some gurglings... mmm

Streatching a rubber balloon htne letting it snap..

All I need now is a analogue input on my soundcard

rubbing a towel over a steamed up mirror, can be very odd

The tube in london...again has the capacity to sound very strange...

scratching your nail back and forth on fabric such as a jacket..

the chair im sitting on making cool creaky sounds

that noise when two tumbler glasses are picked up together at the rim and they kind of bouce off each other at evry decreasing distances and make that tightening sound...quite hard to do on purpose!

I once made a whole track using only sounds that i recorded myself! Lots of fun.
I used a small vacuum cleaner (lead), a rubberglove (snare), a bottle with pressurized air (hats), a book (also snare), a plastic drain tube (very cool pizzicato like sound), a rubber band (nice pluck sound) and some other random things i found in the basment.

I can upload it if you want to hear it....?

what about synthetizing real sounds...?
using a synthetizer to re-create the sounds and so giving you an infinity of control about each sound...
you'll get experience with synths, and wiked sounds hehehe
i'm saying this because i've heard several times, sounds in life that are equal to some in the musics...
(that are synthetized)

Done.

Note: It's a very silly track and it's pretty far from psytrance. It reminds me of some old danish songs for children (Cirkeline). The title means "I like honey" hehe wich is what the girl is saying (in danish).
All sounds, except the bee and the birds in the beginning are recorded by me. No real musical instuments where used. Enjoy.
