First of all i want to say that Im using the M-Audio - audiophile 24/96...
I have a question regarding exporting from fruity... I want to export the track in wave format but in 24 bit cause i was asked to do so... (Better for mastering)...
Now, when reaching at the specific part, i only get options such as 16bit and then something like 32bit float (0.24)..?
Im not a fruity expert so plz, someone that can help in this?
Thanx

32bit float is more than 24bit, so you can use it. Since FL Producer have not 24bit rendering support you should use external tool to record for your favorite bit rate (Sound Fogre, Wavelab or other sound editor allows live recording). |

Just render 32 bit (0.24) and load this file with your favourite wave/audio-editor. Now save as wished wave-file format, 44.1khz and 24 bit or what u want.

Render to 32 bit >'0.24'< this is the standart format. Fruity also features 32 bit 16.8 what was invented by cool edit and is not supported by windows without special codecs for it.

The soundcard is absolutly not used while rendering. Even if the soundcard only supports 24bit u can calcutlate and write down higher bitdepth.

What application are you trying to open the 32bit file in?
I never had problems with 32bit float in wavelab, and converting it to 24bit is straightforward and you can just truncate the file without having to dither it.
