i have a problem.
i use a win2000 os a scsi adapter Adaptec AHA-2940U2.
which connects my pc to the sampler from some odd reason my
computer crashs down when i load it with an open sampler.
when sampler is used windows works like a charm.

i have tried to replace the driver of the scsi but it didn`t help
 got any idea???

look in the IRQ table.
it's most probably interrupt conflict.
you can see the interrupts table via running
"msinfo32" from command prompt.
then go to hardware -> irq
and see who is sharing the same interrupt with the sampler and/or the scsi adapter

It's just a shot in the dark, but maybe it has something to do with the WIN2000 OS. I have the EMU ESI 4000 and from time to time I use it with the PC ( to download stuff in a fast way ) and the only problem I have found is that the PC can't recognize the bastard and therefore I just press 'finish' some 10 times till it gives up and let me work with an unidentified object. All the programs I use identify it immediately and there are no problems.
I work with WIN98 SE OS so if I were u and it was THAT important to me I'd try to switch + I think that as a WHOLE 98 SE is better for sound engineering and it's performance is higher then WIN2000 but that is just an opinion.

Good luck

Yuli

its funny but both of you were right:)
i have an irq conflict problem and i have checked with e-mu and there is a problem with win2000 scsi and e-mu stuff.

thank you both:)

now the e-mu people said that win98 se is the best for using.
now yuli what is win98 se?
