in psytrance the kick and bassline share a bit the same frequency range they just don t play at same time , if the kick is longuer and overlap with the first note bassline you can check and look at the waveforme to be sure it dosen t peak (should look aslmost like one waveform between the kick and the first bassline note if there is a big bump when they overlap it s not good in my experience ...you can check all that with listening but sometimes it s more easy to check the wavefome with a oscillator plugin to be sure)

how long need to be t kick? 1/3?

as long as it sound good , it depends the bassline groove too ,for example a pumping bassline with the first note after the kick with very low velocity sound thin with a 1/16 kick to me but it might depends the sources.. really no rules as long as it don t clash.i used kick from maybe less than 100 ms to 165 ms with success

disco hooligans was right in saying "Tune Your Kick to your Bass". You can do this in many ways. Cubase, Kontakt, Battery etc. If you're track is in G#, then tune your kick to G# so there's no conflict in frequencies. If you run a bassline on the first beat, sidechain the bass with the kick to bring the volume down on the beat. Most tracks are
k-b-b-b-k-b-b-b-k-b-b-b-k-b-b-b
You could also trim the tail of your kick so it doesn't overlap into your bass note (to me side chaning is easier, but to each their own). You can also play with reducing the attack of the bass to let the kick finish. That all depends on what kind of sound you're after. I personally trim the tail of the kick to keep the attack as much as possible on my bass notes.
When starting with your bass and kick, you might want to keep the kick no louder than -10dB and then balance your bass to the kick volume. This leaves tons of headroom in the mix as well.
Peace,
