Hi all,

a friend of mine that studies music sent me this guide on composition.

Since I've received a lot of useful information from these forums I thought I'd give something back and share this with the community.

http://www.musique.umontreal.ca/personnel/belkin/bk/index.html

The guide isn't overly complicated and has examples with audio samples to listen to.

You can also download pdf versions in English, French, Spanish and Italian (these are older versions though without audio).

Hope this hasn't been posted before and is of use to some of you

Yes it's still relatively complicated but that's music theory for you. If you want to learn it there is no easy way I guess...

And imo this guide is already much simpler than a lot of other material I've seen on composition.

It would be supercool if someone translated the OP's link to Psytrance production, you know, replacing classical music with classical psy tracks and each of the examples with particular examples on the psy production.

The text is pretty impresive, tight and straight forward, i liked it

Raven spiral helped me a lot its worth to have a look.

By the way, for those who are'nt very patient or dont like reading or can't get their head arround music theory I will try my best to cover as much as possible on my videos for music theory.

All the best
