Can you please spare a though for those that don't own cd dex's ....or possibly can't afford them ..
Speaking for myself i play vynil yes i know the subject has been raised before , i find it very fustrating that i can't buy many new albums that i'd like to ...to me there is no skill in mixin cd's only in vynil ...as many cd dexs are made to ease the mixin better with out havin to move the ptich. ...

i would defo buy your product on vynil .on cd ...very very rarely would i consider buyin even though the material is awesome and i desperately want .

please spare a though for vynil psy trance dj's

hey time traveller,

i'm sorry mate, but vinyl simply doesn't sell. no-one wants it. the sales are literally 1/10th the sales of cds, and basically that means a lot of the time vinyl doesn't make its money back.

if you want stuff on vinyl, you could possibly approach labels and artists and ask them if they were interested in an exclusive vinyl deal, where you'd pay the cost of pressing all the vinyl and distribution of it, and they'd get half the profit (if there was any, which there probably wouldn't be). maybe if you got enough vinyl-loving friends together (i think there's still at least 20 vinyl djs left around the world) you could all split the cost. if you're wondering how much it costs, check this page: http://www.urpressing.com/twelve.html and then you have to pay shipping and other fees.

basically, i'd recommend you give up turntables. there's just no advantage to them any more - cdj technology has caught up and surpassed vinyl.

As Jaimz explained, vinils in psy-trance are practically an endangered species which is close to extinction. No point of pressing even 500 copies that barely cover the expence of printing for a couple of elitist dinosaurs who insist on their own superiority.

Maybe, if you're so interested, you can lisence the rights to publish trax featured on CDs and press them yourself on vinils. I dont recommend this, though, since this is an economic suicide. But whatever suits you.

Get off your tree mate, CDJs today have the same capabilities and accuracy as turntables (more, actualy).           auspexx@compact-records.com
