IMO Manuel Schleis and Cosmic Dreamer are the best Virus trance patch programmers. Manuel also has a nice one for Vanguard.

Why not just demo them ????
Too lazy to put in the work ???

sidchip, you already asked that in the other thread.

my advice is to make it yourself, that way you will understand how can be made. otherwise, you're just being lucky to find a preset patch which fits your track. music creation is all about not being lazy.

good luck, take your time, and be patient

How do I load in those sounds in my Virus B?
I tried playing back the midi part in Cubase on a Virus track, but nothing seems to happen.
Do I have some settings from in my Virus?

Btw, I haven't really used my Virus since I have it for two months, because I still prefer the interface of Vst plugins.
Ain't that a shame!?

@ Djones:
That is a shame, indeed

I think the easiest way to load the presets is via Soundiver program. I got it with my Virus, and if you dont have it, try checkin the Logic's web page, maybe they have it for download.

IMO dtd is right about programming your own sounds. In the mean time, try tweaking the 'Club Bass' preset in the tutorial bank, it's a nice starting point for psy basslines.

Djones, to load the sounds download the free SoundDiver for Virus:

When clouds moisten, rain forms.

every second preset is superb for a realy nice bass, unless your are making fullon music with 1/16 maschineguns, in this case its a bit complex with the 'wild horse' virus.

djones,
you should sell it, like every other equitment you dont use in your production. if you prefer software get yourself DSP in return.

Funny you post in this thread. Reading the manual is also part of not being lazy about making music!
