Hey Fellow Tranceheads,
As you might know we had a very bad experience on the 16th in Club Komfort in Tel Aviv. We've received a lot of letters and would like to let you know exactly what happened that night:
While Frank'e was Djing on stage and Ian was setting up for the live show, somebody stole all our tapes, disks, a Nikon Coolpix 990 digital camera plus an Adidas bag with some money belonging to one of the crew from under our feet.
Two guys from Netanya that weren't our guests were sitting on the side of the stage and left just before we discovered the theft.
A few moments later we were going to start the live set when we discovered what had happened. While Frank'e was still Djing, we contacted security who did a body search on all people leaving the venue but with no luck.
Half an hour later the music was stopped and an announcement was made about what had happened. After a twenty minute break Frank'e resumed his Djing and the party went on as normal.
We regret this incident as much as you do. We have been looking forward to this show for four years since our last Koxbox gig in Tel Aviv. The promoters Dan, Yossi, Samuel and their friends had been working very hard to put up a good night, and we had been working with them to set up good sound and stage to deliver another great Koxbox show.
The crowd that came in spite of the rain was a mellow, good blend of people and we're sorry that they didn't have the full un-interrupted ride.
But we do not blame Israel or the Tel Aviv scene as a whole. As you have experienced in your war torn country it only takes one asshole to ruin it for many others and we share your interest in letting the good prevail.
Dan, Yossi and Samuel have been very supportive, helpful and have paid us a small compensation for the loss in spite of them not making much on this gig.
Koxbox are going to come back to Israel strong and with a positive attitude as we're preparing an outdoor event with our friends from Israel in the spring. Feel free to visit our website http://www.koxbox.dk for more details as we get closer to the event.
Again, thanx for your support and positive attitude. We'll hope to share good moments with you in the future!
Shalom from Koxbox info@koxbox.dk
And something from us at Isratrance- if anyone knows or hears anything about the stolen stuff- please pass the info and we'll get it to the right ppl- maybe we can make wrong right again. |
