when there is one thing i really hate. its a fucking playback liveset. a guy up there with sunglasses spreading his hands wide out and is bored again off just standing there and let the sound playing from a computer... while 2000 hippie stinky dreadlock people shaking there ass off. for me there is something wrong...

i just want to bring it up that there are a few possibilities to play live. if the production is well you dont even need to master the stuff. loudness will be enough for live.

everybody knows him TOM COSM

on youtube is a 5 part video series where he is explaining how to play live with ableton.

for me in the last 4 years it was exactly THATH THING that i ever wanted to do. #

IMAGINE
you are able to play your sound Live... you will have much more influence on your music like you want. people see that the guy is actually playing live. even if there is just i higher vibration subliminal.

This is a Wake up CALL! DO IT LIVE!!!!

NOWADAYS anything is so fucking commercial so it goes back to there where it comes from.

a video i made for you to show you how it actually can be done. for example with a launchpad in ableton

you just have to mix your track down to six subgroups like:

KICK, BASS, PERCUSSIONS, LEADS, PADS and all the REST

Route it in the mix and make a record while running the track records all 6 tracks. also take out a snare. a crash. a kick. and somm lil fx you like from this track and put it on an mpd or something like thal.

you easylly import the 6 tracks you allready bounced out for ableton by drag n drop (so no matter wich sequencer u use)

go into the sequencer mode and cut all these tracks together how u like. maybe 16 bars maybe 32 what u like and how the track was written.

then import the scenes to the clip launcher. now assign the follow action so nothing can go wrong. and experiment with what u all could do.

then u can use some midi controller to assign some filter on tracks or beat repeat what ever u think is good and usefull.

sorry for the mistakes i had to hold the iphone aswell

once ou made a track in this mode your going nuts bout this method to play live =)

the most usefull video:

The problem is tho that some styles are more hard to improvise with.
The more minimal music works better.
Even if i use his technique sometimes when i arrange live sets i cannot play around as i want since every clip kind of goes along together with each other.

You have to design your songs in order to play them live then.           .
