After his debut album "Ambion" and participation in the compilations Goa Beach vol.18 and Ethnoscapes, Stefan Torto, the co-founder & main composer of Zen Garden returns with his new album EP "Astral Visions".
His set will include the live presentation of his new album + remixed tracks from "Ambion" & unreleased material.
Space textures, ambient structures and downtempo rhythms spiced with emotions.

About Stefan:
Stefanos is the music producer & composer of Zen Garden. He was born in Athens in 1979. He started playing the guitar at the age of 10 and he is self-taught. When he was 15 years old, he joined ‘Vice Human’ as a guitar player and he participated in their live shows and CD- LP recordings. Between 1995 and 1998 he played with several groups such as Glower, Agnoun, On-Off and others.
Since 2000 he practices on music technology (samplers, synthesizers, music production) and instrument learning and experimentation (percussion, strings, piano).
In 2003, Stefanos orchestrates and produces the “Mayas to the Atlantis” record by Tom Baton Kee (Native American flute Keeper), with whom he also performs live touring in Greece (percussion and guitar), as part of the Cultural Olympics.
Between 2004 and 2006 he participates in the (IEK) - college AKMI Music Technology competition and connected with PLANETWORKS record company.
Soon after that, collaborations with Dj Viton, Dallas, Mike& Stef, and others follow.
His love for theatre music and live orchestration begun in 2006, when he worked for the orchestration, sampling and sound design of the “Persians”, the famous ancient Greek drama by Aeschylos, presented by the National Theatre of Greece (directed by Lydia Koniordou, music by Takis Farazis). He followed the play all the way from Epidaurus ancient Theatre to the tour around Greece and New York (New York City Centre), playing live samples, percussions and strings.
In 2006-2007 he composes, orchestrates and produces music for the“Deva” Dance-Theatre performance,. directed by Silvia Macchi, of the Synergion of Arts dance group, in collaboration with Roxani Garefalaki. Together they also scored the soundtracks of short films 'Gaia' and 'Long Distance Drunk' (by Post Bukowski Project), the parts of the music orchestration for the documentary Chania/Ecotourism (directed by V. Kalaitzis).
Since 2007 he has also been collaborating with “Taki Street Percussion” music group and the “Afro-Cretan” Band by L. Grigoriou , doing sampling, production, playing guitars and keyboards in their live shows around Greece.
Én 2008 he composes music for the dance theatre production “Facts and Faculties” (produced by “Fygein Adynaton”, choreographed by Natasa Aretha).
In 2009 he cooperates with Takis Farazis in writing the music for the short film “of memory”, a film about the work of sculptor Venia Dimitrakopoulou (directed by F. Koutsaftis). In the same year he works as a sound engineer for the Athens and Epidaurus Festival in the production of “Ornithes” play (directed by S. Hatzakis, music by Minos Matsas).
He also contributed with sampling in theatre productions such as “Mana, Mitera, Mama” directed by S. Hatzakis (Veaki Theatre) and “Troades” (Theatre of Neos Kosmos).
In May 2010 he improvises live with both electronic and natural instruments for the dance theatre “Roes” for the Greek Choreographers’ Dance Festival.
Moreover Stefanos is involved with the making of sound design and music for tv-commercials, and short-films and as a member of the Tomako team, a visual productions group, he created sound design and soundtrack compositions for company presentations such as Nike and Heineken, as well as the audiovisual introductions of popular Greek artists live shows (Ploutarxos, Vertis).
Since 2007 Stefanos has been the main composer and producer of the band Zen Garden.

Vlastur started his journey into music as a Bass player. Back in the mid-80's, he was a founding member of the Cohash Funk, an underground funky Athenian group. In 1998 alongside Frequency Freak, fellow Cohash funk guitarist and Spiris, a dubby drummer, formed "Apeuthias Syndesi" now known as Direct Connection, a dub experimental laboratory. They released "Dub Infection" in 2007. Even though he started as a Bassist in Direct Connection, he was the main FX Sound Engineer of the band.
In the meanwhile he was also working as a session musician with various artists and bands. In 2004 he teamed up with Palyrria an ethnic-electronica band and in 2005 recorded "Methexy" with them and has played in many of their gigs.
The (InterAxion Dub) project is the first fully length work of Vlastur. Influenced by all his beloved sounds from Dub to Dubstep trough Psy, Ambient, Drum n' Bass and Traditional Mediterranean sounds !
Vlastur MegaDrop is the live project of him. He performs his material with the help of 2 skilled musicians. Dark Elf (Synth, Fx, and Mixing/Master) and Spyro. K (Drums and Rythms)
Vlastur believes that the sound evolves constantly while the vibe remains the same, from Rock n' Roll to Punk and from Dub to Psy.

Cabeiri project is consisted by Dimitris and Nickolas Vavalos.
Inspired by a wide variety of music genres they started to create
electronic music from deep spacey ambient to down- tempo trance.
Their first album release 'Inner Thoughts' at Altar Records is a
compinations of deep relaxing ambient laced with down tempo
grooves and complex melodies,that is perfect for both dancing and
chilling.

Billy aka dj Aura & musician at 'Sacred Vibes' born in Athens/Greece at 1975.
His first contact with Psychedelic music was at beggining of the Goa/trance movement back in 1992-93. 3, years later he started performing as a resident Dj in Trancemedia & R-Load.
Through the passing years he performed in many different big clubs and events in Athens (+soda,loft,lobby,yumatic,amnesia etc..) and various Open-air parties and Festivals.
In 2007 he decided to create a team that promotes and also organizes events under the name 'Organic Dream' with a target to also help charitable foundations (like Floga http://www.floga.gr/ etc..)
Some of his other activities also are: music production, booking promotion for artists, event decorations and graphic design (poster flyers etc.)
He would like to thank everybody that supported him throughout the years, and especially his friends and his audience.

i's so surprized from the audacity of some promoters who still organize events after all that have done to Aurora...
Hope people still have memory and send them the message!
Too bad that i saw respectful artists and some of them friends too, suport those scums

Uforica025 to be honest Aura has nothing to do with organization of Aurora festival.
He was only responsible to be in touch with artists.
We really would like to help and resolve this argument.

Usually i don't make comments but when I see ridiculous comments by ridiculous people it is time to make some..
Ïberon don't be suprized with the audacity of some promoters and specifically on this one..Your audacity is worst and bigger cause you don't have the guts to find the owner and organizer of Aurora festival and make your complaints to him and noô to those who actually worked hard to keep it alive and not finished earlier.Unfortunately i'm sad and angry that there are scumbags like you and slander our scene and instead of trying to do something good they have audacity to filled it with dirt and scummy vibes!!
Everyone knows who you are and what you do as a promoter at Aurora 2008...so stop being so stupid and jerk and don't underestimate the perception of people !!
If you have some respect to artists(because you are an artist too) and some are friends of you might be better to apologize and not to offend them public .. Too bad because it shows that you aren't professional and you don't deserve to belong in this scene..and this appears!! |

I had explained many times what was happened at aurora 2008.
If you're not follow the posts about it, stop saying bulshit and mostly withowt know me personaly, but just from things you heard!
From the other hand, i get bored and tired talking all those years about how shity the scene became from some assholes who care only about bussiness and profit.
I realized that i can't do nothing about to bring back the real spirit!
So, be happy with your scene that you made it like a big Skyladiko style...
