Okay, so I'm working on this tune, and I'm quite happy with it so far...doesn't need much to finish it now, just a few sound fx, filters and other bits like that, but I've hit a slight problem towards the end.
The last drop, the beat needs to hit a bit harder, to make the sound more full on.
I've tried adding more percussion, and even layering another snare in at this point to improve it, but the result is just a cluttered sound.
How can I make the beat harder? |

Kick, Bass, Hi Hats, Snare and a couple percussion samples well placed along the track are enough to make your beat running instead of walking

Try maybe placing the hats a bit before every beat. It can make sometimes music sounds faster, harder... Also try to make some noise sequence buried somewhere in hi-mids. That adds heaviness for me... |
