Though not so wellknow, Shortcircuit is worth checking out. It has a clean and fast interface (IMO essential in a sampler) and quite a few features. It lacks a sample browser and streching, but version 2 that is supposed to be released soon will have at least the browser.
IMO Kontakt is messy and slow to use and Battery and RMIV have too few features for serious tweaking.
There's a free version of SC available at www.vemberaudio.se. Restrictions are that you can load only two SCs in a project and that each can play only two sounds simultaneously (so there can be four sounds from the SCs simultaneously).
I use SC togother with Ableton Live's Impulse, which has samplestrecthing and is compact and quick to use. They complement each other well. |

cool, i found batt to be nice, but i couldnt figure out how to route the outputs, though im pretty sure it was something wrong with the battery copy that i tried... version 1.0.1.4 or is it some special procedure to route the outputs from different pads/blocks to different channels,,
i will try another version and see...
im used to work with dr008 and i really like it, but battery looks alike, also i work with sampletank and other samplers, nothing beats lm7
i will try version 2...
