hi orgytime
you can always use velocities on your keys or better shape your midi parts velocities inside the editor to give each note/chords their dynamics and after youre done and have that in audio, automate the volume fader on that track, best way is to have a real fader and do that eyes closed whenever you feel it, like mixing on a console, else listen carefully and automate it with mouse.
But imo opinion the "static sound" is caused more on the dynamics than the volume, the trick is to achieve big sounds with less voltages.
I could not understand what do you mean by having all your leads at the same volume,
if you have two leads at the same time playing for example, make them to aim in different spectrum the one having more at the low-mid area and the other on the mid/hi area, if they have to aim at the same frequencies use an EQ to solve that, solo them together and listen to where they mask each other, you can find a sweet spot where to boost each one, but different and somewhere to cut, listen again with hole mix
There are other times that you might like to have a static sound anyway, but static is not depending on the volume

You do run out of imagination, ideas but that is only temporary. Some experience in your life, good or bad, will bring it all back.
Whilst the creative juices have stopped flowing for a while, I do all the "boring" tasks...like checking out new sample CDs and chopping up samples I like and filling them in a way I will access quickly when my juices are flowing again.

What I do is set up a mic to record while I do it.
Then Once I have captured the rhythm I use beat detective to extract the groove and impose that across a percussion track. The natural rhythm seems to have a subliminal effect on the listener. Especially guys. |

i suggest to sample some Red Light District DvDs to have native'fuckin' voices (moans etc ) for your tracks .. gives a tribal feeling..

What can be done when you look back at your old work and feel that there are lots of things which are missing like the track have quality issues, sound is not clear though at the time of production everything seems to be ok.
These days whenever I want to produce something, I am unable to do so.Like I start with kick and bass and after that nothing.Sometimes I am successful with a melody or 2 but then I think of deleting it and starting over with a new one.
When I listen to music from other artists I am not as much inspired and motivated as I used to be so creativity does not come up.
I do understand that everyone is giving lots of ideas but I am not sure where to start from fresh.
Thanks
