Best solution would be to go to
www.mp3.com/apsydrop
and download the tune.
Weather Patterns.
I really appreciate the time taken to download my songs..i know it can be a hassle.

Just got it... and currently listening to it. A real bender and warper I say, wot wot. Much improved 'n all from previous tracks. Though it is very "dirty", I like it
It's on my mp3 station.

thanks man!
yeah.. it hasn't been mastered properly...
but I'm not worried about that at the moment...
I'm working on it... but it's more the ideas.. that I'm focusing on....
you can't master anything unless you're GOT something to master!
Peace! |

Much improved since i last heard your tunes. you still need to work on your levels, boet. lank clatter there, the bass and kick go astray. great psychedelic melodies and pads. the breaks are too abrupt, you can see the seams between turnovers. nice work alltogether...

Thanks Jason
Yeah.. I'm just trying to work..harder and harder..
learning some new things every week...
working really hard on my percussion these days trying to get it really phat... and in your face..
Got some new songs that show my experimentation with some new percussive techniques...... but it's gonna take 2 weeks for it to get onto the mp3.com site!!!! sucks ass!
Also trying to think about creative ways to break a pattern and bring in something different.. it's tough.. but I'm sure I'll get it going right...soon.
yeah.. i know what you're saying about the levels.
My production skills aren't totally up to scratch...
but I mean.. i've only been dabbling in this for the last 8 months...... Give me some time, boet!

you got lank time boey, no worries on me m8 just keep them oaks down there happy and make them howl when they hear your music, and you'll be set, good to go
as for changes and cross-overs, i suggest this - add about half a bar to what break you wanna put in, put in a short sample and than break it down with all your weapons unleashed. g'luck boet

excellent work man! excellent excellent! you were kind enough to post a review of my track and i gotta tell you, you deserve a better review than mine (www.organicparadox.com/01blink_tracks/organicparadox-grimmel.mp3). very clean, and driving track. you are two steps from making something big of yourself i know it. the bassline was well worked and i love the synth work. how many effects did you have in that first synth line? good Lord man, the samples are just icing on the cake!
i do have a couple of criticisms about the track:
-around 3:50 you have a switch over in the track after a huge build. but the track doesn't keep the same intensity. if you worked another synthsweep on top of what was there, i think it might help to carry the track more
-at 4:21 your track again could use a more full-on synthline. what you have there works good, but another supporting sound would help bring that section of the track out of that 'plateau' you reached
-finally, bassline switches up almost too much, without enough supporting sounds to help the progression of change (imo). maybe in your next track you could consider that....
and that said, let me say again that this track was excellent. the above mentioned stuff does not in any way, detract from the song. but more or less stick out as the things that set you apart from the professionals out there. i absolutely love this track (listening to it again). very dark, very moody, very powerful. especially the first 3&1/2 minutes. killer stuff.
any way you would let me do a remix of it? or maybe work on a track together? at least let me get a high quality mp3 copy of it. i'll be the first to sign up for your fan club;)
excellent.
