Humm.. Where did you listen those speakers?
At least imo Dynaudio's have much better low freqs than Genelecs.
We are using Genelecs (8030) at school's studios but I have Dynaudios (BM6a) at my own studio, and I prefer those Dynaudios MUCH more, though I use both daily (so I "know" the sound of both speakers)
I have the bigger dynaudios though, but the 5s sound quite the same, just less power in the amps. |

For my taste, the bm6s are much better soundwise, though it's just a matter of taste.
Both are definately high quality.
You should definately listen both speakers before buying because both have different "character" in the sound

I demoed the new Bm5a's the other day. What a fantastic monitor!
I also listened to Adam A7 and i wasnt impresed. The highs seemed very prominemt wich made it sound kinda thin'ish so you would have to mix all your mixed so they sound bright and not very bassy.
I though the Bm5a had really really nice balance.
Definetly my next set of monitors when i get some more cash. |
