yeah true if i bought gears it s to please myself(need some for some work too..)
sound and music can be such a selfish thing, if i was not thinking to me and about beeing satisfied and happy about my sound i would just stick with plugins for making music.

really chuffed that one of the ones i picked turned out to be sylenth, i just love this synth to bits really worth the money. And its been my main bass synth for a long time (alongside DuneCM but not so much).           www.psilocybian.com / www.facebook.com/psilocybian

probably depend the synth and the result aimed for , also the patch totally depend if it work or not.

on the synth that dont retriger that i used nord and esm i got best result with sampling at the begining of the cycle personally and same on the Xs but in this one strange, when i tried i had to flip the phase 180 degree , the saw is inverted / move the woofer in oposite direction it make it sound not smooth

Excuse me, I'll re-phrase, the best sounding notes do not have to be closer to 0 degress. They can be at any odd point of the cycle and sound good, the important thing is to use that particular sample for every trigger of that note, so that it is stable.

about sample, sh101 throuh some analog gears here but it s not multisampled it will have artifacts just after few notes from the root one might still be better than some synths even with the artifacts

in my opinion Trilian has the fattest of them basses gathered and it is very friendly to use. waldorf samples in it are huge, ms 20's very nice, arp 2600 does the job good also, along with juno, phatty, tb 303 and more!

Nectarios probably didn t saw your question but to awser it try velocity modulations on filter or envelop filter amount , velocity on output level and timing well the bass/kick ,should do the trick

Hmmm, I liked 1, 3, and 8 on the first listen. Second time around, thought 2 was alright.

A couple of the others were phat as fuck, but sounded like they would only fit into a song with some EQ and such. Not surprised that these turned out to be the analog ones.

After looking at the list - damn, now I know why I like Sylenth so damn much. Just can't leave it alone!           Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room. ~Kurt Vonnegut

Namaste!
In Goa at the moment and not on line much, going through pages on here very fast.

There was not fades, no EQ no (sidechain) comperssion, involved with making these clips.
Just the first bassline note, has a lower velocity value and velocity is modulating the filter.

That is all.

I do not understand how you can make a bassline that sounds that good in Sylenth. I understand I am not an expert but even if I add compressors or saturation it will NOT sound that good.

I am thinking of starting an "Sylenth1 FAQ" thread.
